TRAINING RINK IS UP AND RUNNING!!!
We’ve added a new training rink
(the “Pond”) – 40’ by 80’. Located in the back of the building, in the room
that has been Soccer Room 1 for the last 14 years, this new facility will
be primarily used by our Mite and Squirt programs. But we’ll also be adding a variety of
other programs on this rink over the next few months, including time for
hockey birthday parties. Ice time

NEW! SPRING 2017 YOUTH
For the Spring season, we have
youth hockey programs for players from age 4 through Middle School. The Mite Development Program follows the
USA Hockey ADM program, with a strong focus on basic skill development.
The Half-Ice Development Program is
for players born in 2007 and 2008, as well as select players born in
2009. This program continues to
focus on skill development, but adds competition among teams.
The Middle School Program includes
a mix of skill development and competition with teams in multiple levels:

Squirt A (for players born in 2007)

LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY PROGRAM
Beginner Clinic is our “Introduction to Hockey” program designed to
introduce young beginners to the game of hockey. It is intended for players age 10 and
under. The focus of the program is
on skill development in order to prepare the players to move into one of
our house league or travel hockey programs.
The program is coached by our staff of professional instructors,
assisted by local travel hockey players.

ADULT HOCKEY CLINIC
Have fun, get
some exercise, and improve your game with help from professional
instructors! This program is intended
for players 17 years old and older who wish to improve their individual
skills and overall knowledge of the game. The clinic is designed as an
enjoyable and rewarding way to stay in shape and improve your hockey
skills. The skills that are addressed are: skating, stick handling,
shooting, and positioning. The clinic will include scrimmages and is
designed for beginning to intermediate hockey players. Skaters are grouped
by experience and skill level.
All participants should have basic skating skills (Forward &
Backward Skating, forward crossovers, and hockey stop).

Sunday evenings –

UNION THUNDER YOUTH
Many thanks to all the players
(and their parents!) who have participated in our Union Thunder
program. We hope you had as much fun
with the program as we did. For the
2017-2018 season, Union Thunder will now be a
member of the NJYHL (NJ Youth Hockey League) which will offer a league
structure for some of our teams.
For the 2017-2018 season, we will also be starting a tryout/evaluation
